A meeting of the Government of the Saratov region took place on the 19th of October. Before that, the Governor Valery Radaev got acquainted with the latest developments in agricultural reclamation machinery. At the thematic exhibition a model of the sprinkling machine circular actions "Kuban-ЛК1М" ("Cascade") was presented, that was designed by scientists of the Saratov state agricultural university.
The results of the development of reclamation complex in the Saratov region was discussed at the meeting. A report on the contribution of the Saratov state agricultural university in the implementation of the main directions of development of land reclamation of the region was made by the rector of the University N.I. Kuznetsov. He spoke about the 95-year experience of the University in preparation of meliorators for Russia and abroad.
“Scientists have gained unique experience in the development and implementation of GIS-technologies and information-advising systems of land reclamation,” said the rector, “The Saratov state agricultural university is always very active working on creating and testing regimes, drip irrigation for gardens of intensive type and for vegetable crops.
According to the Ministry of agriculture, in 2017 in the Saratov region will be introduced to 14.7 thousand hectares of irrigated land. To support reclamation in 2017the funds were made in the amount of 775,6 million rubles. The implementation of the program is attended by 35 farmers.
